Building a Community Wellness Center
Born out of my passion for creating and equanimous Wellness Collective, Zen Lot had a two year run from January 2016 to December 2018. Based in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, the collective held space for many heart-felt offerings. From the incredible artists that contributed, the photographers that captured the process, and the practitioners that offered their hands, it was truly nothing short of magic in this sense.
In my heart, I know collectives will be the way of the future for wellness offerings...I don't know how far in the future that will be, but when it comes, I will always feel good that I offered my hat in the ring on the subject.
In walking away...I realized that the spirit of the offering was not in vain. Not only were many lives touched during this potent two-year run -- much incredible art created (10,000 Buddhas alone was a huge boon for Napa) the spirit of collective healing will live on...waiting for the right time, and place, and people to resume forward with the notion that we can -- and in fact, must, create something different than what we know. Bearing witness to the amalgamation of these efforts, in this sweet two-years was truly a gift. And, one so rare its magnificence is not lost on me. Whatever I do next, this love will continue on...And, maybe the spirit of Zen Lot will find a life of its own too. Who's to know...
